Role Summary

This leadership role will bridge the gap between technology and our Pharmacy business and vendor partners ensuring we maintain a high level of technology collaboration and oversight with MAPD and PDP lines of business.

The Director will be the leadership point of contact for all pharmacy-related technical initiatives and serve as the trusted advisor for pharmacy stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and responsibility for relationship development with Pharmacy leadership and stakeholders.
• Provider leadership in managing the team and projects, working across multiple internal technology teams closing the gap between technology and the Pharmacy business.
• Serve as the technical trusted advisor to Business and Pharmacy Executive Stakeholders and collaborate in business case development and roadmap planning.
• Serve as liaison between Pharmacy stakeholders within the vertical and operations ensuring all performance issues are appropriately escalated and resolved through process improvements.
• Stay abreast of federal and state laws that pertain to Medicare Advantage, Employer Group, and Part D.
• Identify opportunities for ongoing program enhancement using automation, data governance, and advanced technical tools.
• Provide performance and trends to business leaders to ensure goals and objectives are met.
• Maintain strong connections and communications with key contributors, ensuring they understand the vision, approach, and status of Pharmacy project initiatives.
• Assess current technology assets and collaborate with architects to rationalize existing pharmacy tools and explore pharmacy partnerships.
• In collaboration with stakeholders, ensure teams have necessary budgets, resources, approvals, and other support.
• Communicate regularly with key compliance Stakeholders to collect and share feedback.
• Ensure Pharmacy business owners are engaged and supportive of direction. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to stay abreast of business and technical team needs.
• Resolve issues escalated by teams and continually optimize teams and processes.
• Communicate to senior leaders about strategy direction and changes.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the managed care field.

Qualifications

• Strong background in both Medicare and Medicare Part D compliance and technology.
• Experience with Pharmacy Benefit Managers.
• Experience working in Agile / SCRUM software development organizations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and develop practical solutions.
• 10 years of experience with Pharmacy data management, data governance, and data quality.
• 10 years’ experience in compliance technical support, specifically in the Medicare Advantage, Duals, and Part D health care industry.
• 5+ years’ experience working with Government Business Healthcare Solutions highly desired.
• Experience scoping complex projects / programs and driving through to completion.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail required.
