TEACHER FutureReadyNYC (FRNYC) PBL / Academic Integration Project

LOCATION :

  • Office of Student Pathways : (110 William Street, 15th Floor, NY, NY 10038)
  • Offsite locations (as scheduled location(s) to be determined)
  • Remote-ZOOM (as scheduled)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

  • New York City Department of Education appointed and licensed teachers
  • Teacher who taught an FRNYC Education or Tech / Data Science pathway course during 23-24 or will do so in 24-25; or, academic teacher in a school that is implementing either the FRNYC Education or Tech / Data Science pathways.

SELECTION CRITERIA :

  • At least three (3) years of satisfactory (Highly Effective / Effective) experience within the NYCDOE
  • Satisfactory written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of project-based learning and academic integration (interdisciplinary) instructional materials
  • Teaching an FRNYC-curricula driven course during spring 2024 semester, or having taught an FRNYC-curricula driven course during fall 2023 semester.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Co-construct curriculum adjustments to include project-based learning and interdisciplinary elements
  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings as scheduled, including full-day Summer Institute
  • Meet submission deadlines and subsequently integrate feedback into curricular products

WORK SCHEDULE :

  • 7 / 5 / 24 8 / 31 / 24
  • 2-3 virtual meetings to be scheduled
  • Full Day Summer Institute (8 / 19 / 24 or 8 / 20 / 24)
  • Up to approximately 30 hours per participant.

Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

SALARY :

Per Session rates as per the relevant union / organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
