Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is a pivotal figure in the financial ecosystem of our organization. This position will manage two financial reporting entities, one of which is our New Century production facility and the other is an e-commerce brand.

This role entails close collaboration with plant operations, the sales team, and various finance personnel. Ensuring a punctual month-end close, providing support to the site managers and working on continuous integration between sites, the Accounting Manager plays a vital role in upholding the financial well-being of the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure timely month-end close.
• Collaborate with local shared services teams, ensuring accuracy and efficacy in their transactional duties, including billing, A / R, A / P, and inventory accounting.
• Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities of the staff accountant.
• Foster a close-knit relationship with plant operations to align financial and operational goals.
• Provide proactive consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
• Direct responsibility for the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis to track financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior year.
• Champion integration and process control, promoting standardized practices and streamlined operations.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA a plus
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in roles such as plant controller or cost accounting.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
