Responsibilities :
- Manage all prior authorizations for radiological procedures such as CT scans, MRI's, Colonoscopies, EGD's, Pill Cams, and EUS's
- Utilize knowledge of various insurance plans and navigate insurance websites efficiently to obtain prior authorizations
- Track and monitor the progress of authorization requests to ensure timely completion
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any authorization-related issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of authorization processes and outcomes
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in medical authorization coordination, particularly in a gastroenterology setting (preferred, but not required)
- Proficiency in navigating insurance websites and understanding insurance policies
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
