The Wynn Las Vegas Sound & Video communications department oversees the in-house audio video systems associated with Villa guest rooms, restaurants, public spaces, and back of house service areas.
Job Summary :
Reporting to the Operations Manager of Sound and Video Communications (S&VC) the Operations Supervisor will be required to : We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a broad scope of technical audio, video, control, networking, and fiber optic experienceMaintain existing infrastructure with the highest standards, all wiring inside and outside of an equipment rack to be well throughout, very clean, immaculate and serviceableSupervise operations team to meet the demands of the current workload each day including all events and other requests from outside departments all while maintaining Wynn StandardsCommunicate effectively and work with a high degree of creativity and personal responsibilityCommunicate expectations and roles to assigned techniciansProvide positive feedback, coaching, and enforce progressive discipline in accordance with established policies and procedures for technicians when necessary or warrantedSupervise multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situationsEffectively work with internal (S&VC), external departments and external vendor relations, some of which will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
Responsible for addressing technician's issues as appropriateEnsure the department delivers a maximum level of customer service, guest service, and production valueWork with safety as a priority and follow department and company safety standardsEnsure all Wynn Las Vegas core values, property and department standards are implemented and appliedPerform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by ManagerMaintain the S&VC workspace and tool cartsQualifications
Job Experience / Education :
Must have a high school diploma or equivalentMinimum of six plus (6+) years' experience in a commercial, hospitality, and residential Audio & Visual system installation and / or operations roleComplete understanding of signal flow for sound, video, networking and Crestron control systemsKnowledge of various data control protocols I.
E. Crestron, RS232, TCPIP, and BacnetKnowledge of networked video and audio transmission standards HDBaseT, streaming JPG, H.
264, SVSI, Dante, AVB, Blu-Link, Audio Architect, and Q-SYSExperience with large satellite distribution and MATV feedsKnowledge of single-mode and multi-mode fiber distribution and installationKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ability to work under pressure as well as supervise and lead technicians, external departments, and outside vendorsMust be confident in your abilities, self-motivated, quick learner, initiation and drive to expand your knowledge baseWilling to define, practice and conform to safe working proceduresMust possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with proven talents in leadership, safety, and teamworkMust possess good written and verbal communication skillsMust possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detailMust have strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, & ExcelDue to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality / entertainment industry, team members must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and long hoursModels a professional and polished appearance as required by company guidelinesMust be able to interact with internal and external clients in a professional mannerMust maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and trainingEssential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and varied instances of standing / walkingThe employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawlThe noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
When on the property or during events and some back of house areas, the noise level increases to loud. Must be able to interact with others in a professional mannerMust have legal authorization to work in the United States
