This is a great opportunity to join our dynamic fundraising team and the broader Riverside community!

We are seeking a full-time Major Gifts Officer to develop and implement strategies for building a pipeline of major donors and cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of major donors and prospects.

The Major Gifts Officer will :

  • identify, cultivate, and solicit individual and corporate major gift prospects and donors and build a pipeline of prospective major donors
  • recruit and manage a committee of volunteers to plan annual gala with a focus on inviting guests with interest and capacity to become loyal donors
  • serve as a member of the development team and contribute to overall development strategies
  • be an advocate for Riverside’s mission and programs
  • represent the organization as a frontline fundraiser

Schedule : Hybrid with one day in the office preferred each week; requires some in-person meetings with donors and in-person attendance at events.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be detail oriented and accurate, and able to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team
  • Strong interest in and commitment to Riverside mission
  • Willingness and availability to work some evenings and early mornings
  • Must have valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel around the state

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five plus years of development experience, with a track record of major and principal gift success
  • Experience with Constant Contact a plus
  • Facility with development information systems and databases
