Kennel Assistant

Description
Barkfield Animal Hospital is seeking Doggy Daycare / Kennel Attendants to add to our team. Scheduled times can be between 7am to 6pm, every day of the week.
We are flexible on hours / dates, however you MUST be able to work some weekends and holidays.
Key competencies that come along with this position include : safely managing groups of dogs,
cleaning up after dogs, maintaining a clean and sanitary facility, cleaning yards, kennels, etc ( a great portion of this position is cleaning! ) and standing on your feet for most of the day.
Reliable transportation a must*
Pay is based on experience
Pay : starting at $13 per hour
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role :
- Responsible for the day-to-day care of patients and boarders
- Safe handling and restraint
- Feeding and watering
- Walking and bathing
- Monitoring behaviors
- Ensuring the well-being of pets
- Assisting medical staff
What You'll Bring :
- Must have previous animal experience
- Must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and / or move heavy pets and objects
- A sense of fun and teamwork - Smiles and laughter are required for all who apply
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Passion for dog care

- Punctual and dependable
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Expect to work some holidays (Spring Break, Easter, July 4th, Memorial / Labor day weekends, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years, Etc) and weekends.
