SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Job description
Raleigh Magazine , a multimedia company located in Downtown Raleigh seeks a senior graphic designer for an immediate opening.
Must thrive on tight deadlines and have an OCD-level attention to detail mixed with a fresh, hip, edgy eye and willingness to work on a TEAM in a collaborative environment.
The role requires in-person, in-office collaboration with editors, writers and the publisher for design of story layouts and ad creation.
GD responsible for all elements of the magazine design, including editorial and ads.
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with demonstrated expertise in InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, as well as basic web design and WordPress. Salary range $50-60K
Responsibilities
Lead strategy and development of all creative campaigns to ensure a consistent brand across all print and
digital channels
Work closely with editorial team and publisher
Remain current on emerging trends in digital technology and design to incorporate new
technologies and layouts into your strategy
Manage production timelines and vendor relationships
Manage website and any extraneous design elements (logos, awards, etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Familiarity with Raleigh Magazine s brand and vision via latest issues
3+ years experience in a design role with relevant knowledge / experience with print layout and ad creation
