General Descriptions :
This role is responsible for full cycle accounting and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information, overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, and contributing to the development of financial budget and operational strategy.
This experienced and hands on accountant will be responsible for supervision and performance management of all Staff and Senior Accountants.
Specific Responsibilities of the Job :
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable.
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Collaborate with Finance leadership to ensure grants are properly maintained on the general ledger.
- Assist in preparation of budgets and forecast.
- Drive process improvement in all aspects of accounting and across business units and cost centers with efficiency and scalability in mind.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources.
- Support annual single audit and grant audit cycles.
- Manage special projects with strong analytical analysis.
- Manage ERP system administration duties.
- Ability to cultivate direct reports and build a strong an efficient team.
- Provide reports with clear goals and direction.
- Foster clear and effective communication with team members and leadership.
- Flexibility to take on other tasks as needed and adapt to an ever-evolving role.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to lead a team of accounting professionals.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- You are a proactive team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.
- Collaboration efforts are unmatched and has a great rapport with prior organizations.
- Advanced excel skills is required.
Education and Experience :
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required and CPA designation is a plus
- Fund accounting experience or cost accounting experience is a plus
- Abila (MIP) software experience is a plus.
- Healthcare experience is a plus.
