LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with an international Financial Services firm to fill a temporary Payroll Accountant position located in Midtown, Manhattan.
This position is anticipated to be 4-6+ months long. We are searching for someone who has a strong blend of general accounting and payroll processing experience.

Key Responsibilities :
Processing semi-monthly payroll for approximately 120 multi-state employees using ADP Workforce Now
Responding to employee inquiries related to payroll
Auditing employee expense reports and preparing reimbursements
Performing expense analysis as requested
Preparing and posting journal entries
Reconciling bank account statements for multiple accounts monthly
Preparing sales and use tax returns and getting involved in federal return process
Conduct account reconciliations and suspense account reconciliation to verify the integrity of financial data.
Maintain and update fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations.
Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Generate financial reports and provide ad-hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
2+ years of experience processing payroll
2+ years of general accounting experience
Previous experience with an ADP product (ideally ADP Workforce Now) is highly desired
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.
Location : Midtown, Manhattan (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
Job Type : Temporary estimated 4+ months with potential for extension
Dress Code : Business Casual
Hours : 9 - 5 : 30 PM (flexible on times)
