The production planner is responsible for MRP input and regeneration, resolving immediate and potential shortages of supply, and providing project status and performance reports.
- Perform supply and demand planning (MRP) based on current and forecasted
- projects.
- Review open sales orders to determine project material requirements
- Utilize ERP system (SAP) to generate and release production work orders.
- Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages to ensure schedules are achieved.
- Communicate unexpected events in Operations in order to resolve challenges in a timely manner.
- Provide clear communication and visibility to the management and the project team on the scheduled completion of the project.
Education :
- Associate / High School Diploma / GED AND 3+ years of experience as production or material planner
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field
Experience :
- Strong Experience with ERP
- Proficient with MS Excel / Google Sheets
- Experience with MRP (Material Requisition Planning)
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Strong forecasting and material management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to multitask and interface effectively across all levels of the organization in order to meet the daily demands of internal and external customers
- Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, self-motivated, ability to handle high-volume workload, and changing priorities in a high-paced department.

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $60,000 - $70,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
