The Production Expediter is responsible for ensuring that the customer satisfaction is achieved through the on-time delivery of defect-free product that meets all requirements and specifications by tracking, prioritizing and moving product and materials through production processes.

What you’ll do :

  • Meet with Program Management, Scheduling and Planning teams daily to update production priorities.
  • Update Shop Floor Control (SFC) to reflect changes to global priorities.
  • Work with Engineers, Technicians and other SME’s to craft solutions and remove barriers to continue building and moving boards and assemblies.
  • Negotiate with coordinators and managers to prioritize global requirements within manufacturing cells.
  • Communicate potential delays and schedule misses immediately to initiate planning and communication with critical parties
  • Use Shop Floor Control, SMARTer, Fourth Shift, and Agile to accomplish critical product expedites.
  • Use Fourth Shift System to check on and follow-up on part shortages, due dates and order status.
  • Physically track and expedite manufacturing builds between locations as needed to meet customer needs
  • Regularly communicates with : Procurement, Customer Product Specialist, Manufacturing Managers, Leads, Coordinators, Test Personnel, Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom and others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need :

  • Advanced proficiency in computer systems, including MS Excel (vlookups, etc), Office, and Outlook
  • High-level critical thinking, analysis, attention to detail, organization, ability to multi-task and learn quickly
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a hands on mentality
  • Thoroughness and an ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with a variety of internal customers.
  • Able to work in self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized and able to stay focused and prioritize rapidly.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the complexity of multi-level board manufacturing.
  • Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and work overtime when needed

Education and / or Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products, databases and MRP systems.
  • Understands MRP principals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or Engineering Certificate or Degree
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his / her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls;

reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.
