We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Manager with a strong background in DevSecOps to lead the integration of security into our software development lifecycle and ensure the reliability of mission-critical systems.
As a key member of our team, you will work with cutting-edge technologies, automate infrastructure, and collaborate across teams to safeguard Homeland Security systems.

What You'll Do :
- Drive innovation through automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps tools for CI / CD, code quality, security, and monitoring.
- Ensure all infrastructure, services, and applications meet security, performance, monitoring, and SLA standards .
- Lead the migration of systems from physical to virtual environments and support the transition to the cloud.
- Develop and release PaaS / SaaS solutions, ensuring production-ready code.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and maintain secure and automated infrastructure .
- Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) , including vulnerability assessment, code scanning, and threat modeling.
- Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
- Manage containerization and microservices , ensuring they adhere to security and performance standards.
- Standardize templates for CloudFormation / Terraform across Linux, Windows, and self-healing application stacks.
- Integrate security controls like automated vulnerability scanning and security testing into CI / CD processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements .
- Automate security processes, such as incident response and threat detection , using tools like Splunk , Chef Automate , and others.
- Stay updated on emerging DevSecOps tools and trends, and provide recommendations for adopting new technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on DevSecOps practices and techniques.
What You Bring :
- Active Secret Clearance (required due to contract).
- U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship (required).
- Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule for 24x7x365 systems uptime.
- At least 12 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a related field.
- Expertise in Docker Enterprise , Splunk , Chef (including Chef Automate and Ruby), Puppet , Ansible , Kubernetes , and OpenShift .
- Hands-on experience with Terraform , Jenkins , and Python in an IaC environment.
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift in private cloud environments.
- The following certifications (or equivalents) are required :
- ITIL V4 Foundation or ITIL V4 MP .
Desired Certifications :
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
Location :
Candidates must reside near Annapolis Junction, MD and be available for onsite work as required, including during transition periods.
