Responsibilities
About the role :
The Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst is responsible for taking a data driven approach for monitoring
and managing the GM Financial credit bureau reporting platform. The Credit Bureau Reporting
Analyst should be an expert in all aspects of credit bureau reporting in order to maintain regulatory
compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The position is expected to perform ongoing
monitoring, stay informed on regulatory updates and recommend enhancements as required, and
coordinate updates with both internal partners and external vendors.
In this role you will :
- Perform ongoing assessments and audits of credit bureau reporting platform to ensure consistency of information between internal transactional system of record and files sent to the bureaus
- Provide cohesive dashboard reporting to a variety of clients on the entire credit bureau reporting process including transmissions, disputes, reject reasons, e-Oscar, etc so that areas of opportunity
can be identified and trends can easily be interpreted
Partner with GMF departments as needed to proactively share results of assessments including
recommended actions to support credit bureau related activities
Partner with bureaus to understand how transmitted data will be interpreted and displayed to
consumers
Collaborate with servicing system vendors to understand logic and impacts on upstream data
processes
Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and their potential impact of credit bureau reporting
requirements
Perform reporting, ad hoc data mining, and analytical functions as needed to support information
requests
Present analyses and recommendations in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format
Qualifications
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Thorough understanding of FCRA reporting requirements and other applicable regulations
- Knowledge and expertise in Metro2 reporting standards
- Experience using SQL, SAS or comparable data mining and query tools with agility to learn other applications as needed
Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience preferred
- 5-7 years previous experience in analytical role
- 2-3 years of experience in role related to credit bureau reporting
Salary
The base salary range for this role is : USD $69,000.00 to $127,400.00.

The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
