Senior Director of Philanthropic Partnerships
A company is looking for a Sr Director of Philanthropic Partnerships to drive the development of philanthropic partnerships that support local journalism.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish partnerships with philanthropic and non-profit organizations to fund projects for local newsroomsDirectly solicit contributions and manage communications with partners and fundersLead a team to identify and execute on philanthropic funding opportunities and streamline grant processesRequired QualificationsBachelor's or master's degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experienceAt least five years of experience in development, grant writing, and administrationAt least five years of experience managing teamsDemonstrated success in running a P&L and achieving financial goalsBackground in local journalism with existing relationships with philanthropic organizations is preferred
