Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our finance team and
oversee all financial aspects of our business. The Controller will be responsible for managing
financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and accounting functions. This role plays a crucial
part in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization.
Responsibilities :
Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including
Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and
completeness
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure
compliance with financial regulations
Manage the annual budgeting process and prepare forecasts
Coordinate and lead the year-end audit process with external auditors
Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide insightful recommendations to
management
Participate in quarterly presentations to the board of directors
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and
federal government reporting requirements
Coordinate and lead activities with insurance and payroll companies
Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline processes and
improve efficiency
Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and initiatives
Preferred Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the building materials or manufacturing
industries
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Proven experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively
at all levels of the organization
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Experience with Epicor Eagle
