Dietitians at AMC have opportunities to learn something new every day. Our team helps to support knowledge development and skill level working with a patient population with a high level of acuity.
As one of our dietitians, you would be able to design and implement individualized nutrition care plans, collaborate with interprofessional teams, contribute to a healthy work environment and offer nutrition education to patients, interns and staff.
We offer competency-based training during orientation, various learning opportunities (across the life span, medicine, surgery, nutrition support, ICU care, etc), a monthly meal stipend, continuing education reimbursement (after 1 full calendar year of employment), tuition reimbursement, annual AND fee reimbursement and clinical advancement ladder.
Key Success Factors for a clinical dietitian at AMC include :
- Active status as a registered dietitian as delineated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Completing continuing education credits for maintenance of registration status
- Knowledge of pathophysiology in various disease states
- Resourcefulness, creativity and self-motivation
- Ability to incorporate evidence based practice
- Understanding of malnutrition diagnosing and providing appropriate interventions
- Ability to develop effective professional relationships to promote the practice of nutrition to benefit patient care
- Evaluate own learning needs and pursue opportunities
- Practices according to the code of ethics, standards of practice and standards of professional performance (SOP / SOPP)
Salary Range : $49,846.00 - $79,754.00
