HR Assistant

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working HR Assistant for a company based in Alexandria, VA. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing 100-200 warehouse employees, scheduling and recruiting in a fast-paced, warehouse setting.

Pay Rate

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm.

HR Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruiting, screening, and selecting team members to fill vacant positions at all levels within the plant.
• Collaborating with other management on the development of an overall facility safety plan.
• Managing the complete payroll process for both hourly and salaried employees, including time and attendance recordkeeping.
• Advising management on the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Such as corrective actions, grievance resolution and performance management.

HR Assistant Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong background in Industrial HR experience preferred.
• Fluent in 2nd language preferred .
• Working expertise in a union environment including investigations, grievances, arbitrations, and contract negotiations.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively .
