Job Summary

The Network Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the OVHcloud US network engineering team to deliver robust, scalable, and secure network solutions that support US business operations.

Manages and ensures optimization of the OVHcloud network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance to meet the demands of our expanding customer base.

This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and leadership skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the implementation of cutting-edge network solutions that align with strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the network infrastructure is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance and reliability.
  • Lead initiatives to innovate and integrate new networking technologies and services.
  • Monitor network performance and capacity. Implement solutions to optimize uptime and efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce network policies, standards, and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Collaborate with the security team to design and implement robust network security measures; conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure productive collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management, data center operations, IT security, and customer support, to deliver integrated network solutions.
  • Communicate network strategies and performance metrics effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to procure the best technologies and services.
  • Ongoing management of the network engineering budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team skills and career development.
  • Drive team engagement and motivation through clear communication of goals and expectations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Experience with cloud networking and data center operations is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and best practices (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VXLAN).
  • Proven experience with large-scale network design and implementation.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are preferred.
