The Assistant to the Associate Dean will provide secretarial assistance to the Associate Deans and the Director of Finance and Operations within the Dean’s Office in addition to handling routine office duties.
The Assistant will be responsible for the following, in addition to managing the work of the Associate Deans / Director of Finance and Operations :
- administrative control of projects conducted by the Associate Deans / Director of Finance and Operations
- maintaining curriculum surveys
- coordinating meetings
- making travel arrangements
- coordinating catering for various functions
- completing University forms
- administering reservations for the Dean’s Office conference room
This position requires considerable knowledge of office practices and University policy and procedures. Extensive use of PC and the various software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and the PRISM / Oracle System).
Internet Explorer knowledge is necessary. Independent judgment is crucial.

Essential Functions
PC use, travel arrangements and scheduling meetings / appointments, handling walk-ins or appointments, answering telephone and email inquiries.
Physical Effort
Job is generally sedentary in nature. Occasional lifting of heavy object may be required. Some traveling on campus may be required to attend meetings or events.
