The ideal candidate will provide hardware and software engineering support for embedded software, software interfaces, cryptographic systems and interoperability in sensor, weapon, host platform, and communications and command and control systems : including software analysis, Commercial Off-The-Shelf and Government Off-The-Shelf interfacing and performance analysis, software architecture review, software development processes, configuration management processes and tools assessment, and software test systems and capabilities.

GENERAL FUNCTION :

• Have knowledge of software engineering in support of the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and / or existing software systems.
• Assist in the application of an understanding of systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation.
• Assist in reviewing / developing / updating of applicable program documentation for software engineering requirements.
• Support the development of the software development strategy and software development plan (SDP).
• Assist in the application of an understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and / or airborne or related ground systems avionics Operational Flight Program capabilities to support the core engineering tasks as they relate to software engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• MA / Doctorate in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD, OR, BA in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD, OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD.
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the DoD SECRET level.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and other standard applications.
