It’s the way youth sports should be. What does your company do? Job Summary The Sports Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches.
The Sports Coordinator will need to build relationships with players, parents, and coaches while making sure that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered.
Observing, assessing, and assisting our coaches is paramount. The position entails hands-on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skill levels. Responsibilities
- Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
- Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
- Supervise the overall operation of designated sport on game day
- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
- Fill in as a team's coach as needed
- Officiate games as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, 7 weeks)
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
Looking for candidates willing to commit to the 7 week season. Typical day will begin with set-up at 7 : 00am and ends between 12 : 00-2 : 00pm.
Ideal candidate will be well rounded with general knowledge of a variety of different sports including soccer, flag football, baseball, and / or basketball.
Candidate does not need to be an "expert" with every sport. However, an ideal candidate should be motivated and have a willingness to learn the different sports.
