Main purpose of the

position :

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented individual with a strong styling background and has broad knowledge of trends, designers, and brands to join our team.

The Editorial Stylist will be responsible for assisting the Editorial Stylists on both Women’s and Men’s Editorial shoots, managing the daily pre-shoot prep, post-production returns, and will have the opportunity to style and execute Revolve / Revolve Own Brand Editorial shoots and special projects.

Position responsibilities and daily tasks :

  • Support the Editorial Styling team (women’s and men’s) daily for in-house and on location editorial shoots.
  • Assist the leading stylist with steaming, dressing models, closet organization, packing, and on-set assistance.
  • Review and familiarize themselves with the styling decks ensuring all looks are being shot as intended
  • Stay up to date with the latest fashion trends, industry news, and follow the provided seasonal trend / style guides to ensure styling aligns with our brand identity
  • Contribute to team trend decks and seasonal inspiration
  • Style Revolve / Revolve Own Brand Editorials
  • Collaborate with the Senior stylists on upcoming projects
  • Participate in style-outs with the Editorial Styling team, VP of Creative, photographers, and Art Directors prior to and day-of the shoot.

Must effectively communicate styling vision and creative ideas

  • Demonstrate proper techniques for styling and preparation of merchandise to minimize damages
  • Help manage the studio inventory and participate in monthly audits
  • Maintain tidy styling closest after shoots
  • Assist in training additional team members
  • Responsible for overseeing editorial prep and post production Submit all pulls to the Cerritos warehouseEnsure the needed merchandise is in-studio prior to the editorial shootsCheck-off Editorial decksCommunicate and updating the styling team on status of prep SteamingPacking styling inventory for location shootsInventory returns to the appropriate locations and departments / QC inventory for damagesCredits Liaise with our in-house studio teams (Sample Coordinators, E-comm Studio Stylists, Product Copywriters, etc.
  • to ensure all inventory is accounted for each shoot and return post-shootWork closely with the Project Manager and Photo Studio Assistants to maintain the styling closets and conduct weekly inventory auditsMust have reliable transportation;

will be commuting to and from Cerritos and Downtown LAAvailable to travel, work weekends, and non-standard hours Headquartered Monday- Friday in Downtown Los Angeles Editorial Studio and Cerritos Studio

  • Strong problem-solving skills; confidently trouble-shoot any issues or task that arise
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to changes in schedule and deadlines

Minimum candidate qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc) :

  • 2+ years of celebrity or editorial assistant experience
  • Basic understanding of the studio environment
  • Proficient in Gmail and Google Drive
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Mac and PC computer systems
  • Physically able to lift over 25 lbs
  • Portfolio with women’s and men’s styling, studio or styling assistan

Preferred qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc) :

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Photography, or other Visual Communications Arts
  • Experience in retail or working in e-commerce
  • Complete creative understanding of the REVOLVE and FWRD (Women’s + Men’s) customer
  • Knowledge and / or experience styling luxury and contemporary brands
