PRIMARY PURPOSE :
This position is responsible for the functions of the Maintenance Department. This position works closely with all Plant Departments, effectively addressing department and plant maintenance needs and troubleshooting.
This position is located in Crossville offices / plants, requiring attendance and adherence to scheduled and assigned work hours.
Position is not a telecommuting position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties :
- Troubleshoot and repair all production line and support equipment.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on all production line equipment, production support equipment and buildings.
- Install new equipment, test and train others on proper and safe operation.
- Be proficient at reading mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Perform appropriate repairs with little to no supervision.
- Perform all aspects of mechanical and electrical trouble shooting and repair.
- Perform upgrades and modifications of existing equipment. Correct any unsafe acts or equipment.
- Maintain accurate records. Including work completed logs, downtime tracking, etc.
- Support manufacturing objectives.
- Work closely with the Stock Room to obtain parts and follow stockroom procedures.
- Assist in Stock Room Audits, to maintain correct quantities and parts.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and company standards, utilizing PPE as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
- Participate in Continuous Learning program.
- Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- Industrial maintenance degree and / or equivalent experience
- Experience as a multi-craft technician including mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, basic machine shop and welding, and electronic control systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair all equipment in a production environment.
- Proficiency in the safe and proper use of all test equipment and all power or hand tools
- Knowledge of lubrication types and applications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to follow schedules

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Climbing, bending, standing, walking at a brisk pace 8+ hours a day, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling
- Lifting 80 pounds, either alone or with the assistance of another employee, in conformity with lifting techniques detailed in safety policies and training materials.
Lifting parts / material up to 150 pounds using prescribed procedure and process.
- Dexterity with hands for use of tools
- Vision must be sufficient to see tools and equipment clearly
- Hearing with the use of ear protection
- Ability to tolerate and work at heights
