Engineering Manager

Overview

JAC Products has an opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our team in Napoleon, OH. In this role the Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the development of effective production systems that promote cost effective manufacturing of products to meet all agreed customer requirements. The Engineering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities concerning design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

What You'll Do

• Improve plant safety performance and key indicators by eliminating workplace hazards, reducing ergonomic concerns, and working with department managers to improve the overall safety of the plant. Participate in incident reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Provide direction to plant engineering community including Manufacturing Engineering, Launch Management, Resident Engineers, and Maintenance and Tooling Management.
• Independently monitor plant KPIs, identifying areas of opportunity, and championing – via direct report group(s) and / or cross-functional teams – the timely implementation & execution of performance improvements.
• Leads launch management activities between the plant, and all outside groups and departments. Responsible for ensuring gate deliverables meet JAC Products Development System for launching programs.
• Responsible for plant layouts including placement of all equipment, material storage, material flow.
