POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of recent audio-visual commercial integration industry experience in the role as a project manager and / or Commissioning Engineer.

It is important to have an understanding of commercial construction methods required to support the installation of all types of commercial audiovisual solutions.

Our Project Managers also commission (turn up) their own projects and are a direct liaison to the Project Design Engineer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Manage audio visual installation projects.
  • Manage subcontract labor for installation on projects as well as client schedules accurately and efficiently.
  • Commission all projects including : test and tune all video, audio, and control aspects of the project. Understand and assist as needed set up of the AV equipment as it interfaces with client network.
  • Train client on functioning AV systems once installation and system commissioning is complete.
  • Determine goals, timeframe, technical requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Building relationships with project Client, General Contractor, and Architect
  • Build, manage, and maintain project organization
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control assigned audiovisual projects.
  • Consult with all applicable parties for project milestones.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Ensure correct resources are assigned to tasks.
  • Complete projects at or below budget.
  • Prepare daily / weekly project status reports and keep management, clients, and others informed.
  • Coordinate and respond to requests for change orders.
  • Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Travel to the customer site(s) for construction meetings when needed.
  • Required to perform all job functions in a safe manner, according to Color Art Technology safety policies
  • Identify integrated opportunities for all of our Color Art Companies, where applicable
  • Represent the Color Art Companies in a professional manner

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Responsible for job costing all internal resources assigned to a project. Has the ability to maintain the soft cost budget and or below cost
  • Organize and present, scheduling and budgeting processes.
  • Problem-solve and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, working effectively under pressure and against deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills, detail oriented, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, detail oriented, strong follow-up skills a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills in all forms, with ability to convey information professionally and accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work with all levels in the company including the C level executives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • CTS or PMP and plus but not required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of PM experience in a commercial environment
  • PC proficiency / Network topology comprehension
