CNC Programmer

PING, Inc. , maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a CNC Programmer that completes prototypes, machine components and injection molds enabling PING to manufacture high-quality, high-performance golf clubs.

As part of a team of machinists and operators, you will be responsible for the development and modification of machine programs.

The components created range from simple fabrication to precision plastic injection molds. You will be regularly interfacing with Design Engineering on tolerance and cosmetics of machined components.

This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL :

• Program, set-up and operate CNC machines, including 3, 4, and 5 axis mills, live tooling lathes and mill turn machines to produce prototypes, machine components and injection molds.
• Complete machining operations from 3D models, drawings and / or verbal instructions.
• Maintain tooling sheets and configuration control on legacy programs.
• Train operators to use and create components from developed programs.
• Communicate with and provide DfMA feedback to engineers.
• Create instructions for machinists.
• Review 3D CAD design blueprints.
• Check completed programs by running simulations or tests.
• Prepare geometric layout of designs using proper software.
• Determine sequence of operations in a program.
• Choose cutting tools that will be needed.
• Analyze job order and perform necessary calculations.
• Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency.
• Analyze and select speeds and cutting tools for programs.
• Make improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes.
• Simplify tooling time for operators and increases productivity.

YOU HAVE :

High School Diploma or GED and a two-year technical program Diploma in a directly related discipline, plus a minimum six years’ experience in the technical field;

OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, interpersonal and team skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a moderate level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, TEAMS, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and keep up with the administrative requirements of the position.
• Proficiency in using Creo Manufacturing, Autodesk Feature CAM or DP Technologies Esprit software.
• Proficiency creating and incorporating Renishaw probing routines to maintain quality of machined component.
• Experience with Haas and / or DMG Mori controls preferred.
• Proficiency with manual lathes, knee mills and various other manual equipment.
