We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fiscal Assistant III to join our team in the College of Journalism and Communications Business Office.
The successful candidate will provide advanced fiscal support and expertise to the Director of Finance and the business office, ensuring seamless financial operations and compliance with University of Florida Procurement rules and regulations.

Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and oversee all college travel budgets, travel authorizations, and travel reimbursement processes.
- Assist with the management of CJC business accounts, including processing payments to vendors and submitting requisitions for goods and services.
- Ensure purchases are compliant with University of Florida Procurement rules and regulations.
- Provide second-level accounts or fiscal support to account staff within the business office.
- Perform complex calculations, collection, or verification of financial data and process account transactions.
- Function with some independent responsibility for accounting or budgetary tasks within the business office.
- Have a solid understanding of university financial policies and procedures.
- Operate autonomously as an expert paraprofessional, serving as a resource to other account staff.

Minimum Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent and five years of general accounts transaction experience.
- Appropriate college course work or vocational / technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
- High level attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative to anticipate and proactively resolve issues.
- Great communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of UF fiscal policies and procedures, including travel, and purchase card.
- Proficiency in MicroSoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Enterprise Analytics.
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and UFGO.
