What will you do as a Director of Category & Channel Strategy?
As part of the Corporate Commercial Leadership Team, the Director of Category and Channel Strategy is responsible for developing strategies and plans to create winning outcomes for the customer and Coca-Cola High Country through category and channel planning and analysis.
This position works with PRGM, Key Accounts, and the rest of the Corporate Commercial Team, as well as the Division Managers, to determine gross profit opportunities and establish best practices, standards and the look of success pictures for execution within the company’s markets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and design category and channel strategies that align the expectations and goals of customers with the expectations and goals of Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country.
- Establish strategies that create winning outcomes for the customer and the organization by maximizing potential for each category and channel, generating the highest level of gross profit through volume and price management, including CMA programs and channel pricing and promotional offers.
- Work with the Commercial Team and Division Managers to align strategies with commercial plans and marketing programs, ensuring coherency and competitiveness in the marketplace.
- Create marketplace execution expectations and pictures of success for channels and categories, including for specific customers.
- Monitor and track category and channel performance against organization and customer goals.
- Analyze results and share numbers and make recommendations to the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Work with PRGM to determine gross profit opportunities.
- Keep up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s).

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business with 5-10 years’ experience in same or similar industry.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work in an office environment; sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.
- Work involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when using computer terminal.

- The noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy due to manufacturing and / or warehousing equipment in operation.
