Responsibilities :

Learn about new developments in the mathematics field and practice implementing them

Act as a co-advisor to a group of middle school students

Fulfilling all duties, responsibilities, and commitments as outlined in the school's Guidebook and the organization's code of conduct

Actively participate in writing high school profiles and recommendations with a team of teachers

Keep careful anecdotal and assessment records to write accurate, comprehensive student reports that reflect student growth and support their future education

Qualifications / Requirements :

degree or an equivalent degree or educational qualification from an accredited college or university

Stated desire to teach mathematics in public, parochial or independent schools

Strong skills in mathematics learning with problem-solving, number sense, and understanding at the core

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Wide-ranging intellectual and educational interests

Commitment to equity and justice including knowledge and skills related to cultural competencies

Preferred Qualifications :

Degree in mathematics education or a related field

Knowledge of Spanish

Prior classroom teaching experience

Familiarity with new technologies
