Legal Operations Specialist - Collections and Foreclosure

Salary Range : $45,000 - $50,000
Description :
The Legal Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting paralegals and attorneys within the Collection and Foreclosure Department.
The primary responsibilities include processing substantive legal work, drafting client correspondence (including administrative and payment letters), preparing monthly status reports, and E-filing pleadings across various counties in New Jersey and New York.
Additional duties involve E-recordings, handling trust / firm check requests, and processing check deposits.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
- Prepare client correspondence, including administrative letters such as payment reminders.
- Generate monthly status reports for review.
- E-file legal pleadings in various counties within New Jersey and New York.
- Process E-recordings, check requests, and deposits.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks related to legal documentation as needed.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
- Proficient in E-filing and managing legal documents.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Experience :
- Prior experience working in a Collections and Foreclosure Department is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with legal processes and E-recording systems for New Jersey and New York counties.
