Position Summary :

The Utility Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of underground utility installation. Including water, sewer, storm drain, and related systems, on Sunrock’s heavy civil projects. This position ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, on budget, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Direct and supervise utility crews in the installation of utilities such as water, sewer, storm, and related systems.

Ensure utility installations meet plans, codes, and company standards.

Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.

Manage manpower, equipment, and material resources to maximize productivity.

Serve as the primary point of contact for utility operations in the field.

Identify and resolve conflicts with existing utilities or unforeseen site conditions.

Job Locations : Employees are expected to have their own transportation to the jobsite and be there by starting time. Start time may be adjusted due to seasons, job type, or schedule. Typically, this is 7 AM. Sunrock hires and places new hires based off open positions needed on our crews. Sunrock cannot guarantee that employees will work close to where they live. Nor can we make changes to our crews to accommodate such requests.
