JOB TITLE : Lead Quality Control Engineer LOCATION : Montgomery, AL iParametrics is partnering with a leading construction firm to find a skilled Lead Quality Control Engineer (LQCE).

JOB DESCRIPTION The Lead Quality Control Engineer (LQCE) will be responsible for overseeing the quality control process, making informed decisions regarding quality control policies and procedures, and managing a variety of quality control issues in both field and office settings.

The LQCE will also mentor less-experienced QC engineers and may handle multiple projects simultaneously. RESPONSIBILITIES Review and update the project quality process log (QPL) and provide feedback to the QC manager.

Direct the removal and replacement of non-conforming work and halt work that does not comply with contract specifications.

Ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes by reviewing and submitting RFIs.

Coordinate and schedule trade partner test and inspection requests. Participate in the work completion tagging process, in-house punch list process, and pre-final punch list process to document deficiencies.

Audit trade partner quality control procedures and engage in the quality recognition program. Advocate for and participate in continuous improvement processes and lessons learned initiatives.

Conduct safety and housekeeping inspections through the SAFE program. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control on large commercial construction projects. Strong communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, as well as experience with Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced understanding of specifications, standards, and code requirements across various disciplines (architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical).

Previous experience in mentoring or leading quality control teams. Familiarity with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technology.
