We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance Team, located in Tustin, CA!

Job Summary :

The Senior Accountant performs activities involved in the maintenance and control of the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

This position reviews and / or initiates and posts journal entries; monitors posted financial data; prepares financial analyses and reconciliations.

Participates in the preparation of GAAP reporting.

• Responsible for monthly financial close activities including preparation, review, and posting of journal entries.
• Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses for management reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of GAAP Reporting.
• Act as a key point of contact for all financial auditing processes.
• Prepare audit schedules and footnote input.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
• Assist in documenting internal processes / controls and developing improvements as appropriate.
• Mentor and provide guidance to the new accountants, enhancing departmental functions and overall productivity.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Graduate degree highly preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred.
• 4 years progressive experience in accounting / public accounting.
• Prior experience in the dental / health insurance industry, or related industry required.

Specific Skills / Knowledge :

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong understanding of dental insurance industry highly preferred.
• Ability to research, provide a written guidance to new accounting pronouncements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, etc.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and interact effectively with various management levels.
• Excellent prioritization and follow-through skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Functional experience with SAGE 300 and HSP system preferred.

Location

Our employees are distributed in office locations in multiple markets across the United States. We are unable to hire or allow employees to work outside of the United States.

This position is part of the Corporate Finance Team, based in Tustin, CA.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $76,389 - $95,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.

If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and / or experience.

In addition to those factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer.

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
