New Business Benefits Account Manager - Dallas, TX

This specific position REQUIRES full health & life account management experience within a BROKERAGE environment.
Candidates outside of this experience will not be considered for the role.
- The Account Manager will assist in onboarding new clients and will maintain the accounts
- Prepare material for open enrollments, conduct open enrollments
- Will be the communicator between the employees and carriers
- Respond to email inquiries and incoming calls from client's employees
- Will manage reporting and programs / plans through Excel spreadsheets
- Will work with the Sales Rep on the RFP process for potential clients - gather information regarding carriers, benefit plans etc.
- May travel for open enrollment (this is not a requirement)
To qualify for this role, you must possess the following :
- Degree preferred
- Group 1 License preferred but not required
- 3-5 years of experience as a Benefits Account Manager
- Experience transitioning fully funded clients to self funded insurance programs is required
- Needs to have understanding of ADA, COBRA, ACA, HIPPA, 5500 requirements, Section 125
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Experience with Employee Navigator preferred
- Experience working in carrier systems is required
- Must be accustomed to a client facing role; excellent communicator, servant heart, patient
