Pay : $140,000 - $190,000 + 20% bonus + extensive relocation bonus
Overview :
Our client is a major global medical device company seeking a highly experienced PrincipalAutomation Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automation systems, extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, and a proven track record of implementing innovative automation solutions.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the automation System Design and Implementation for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze systems, and propose automation solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure successful integration of automation technologies.
- Manage automation projects from conception through implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to procure necessary equipment and resources.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within manufacturing operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production throughput, minimize downtime, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues and inefficiencies.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on new automation systems and technologies.
- Ensure automation systems comply with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and validation protocols.
- Perform regular audits and assessments to verify system performance and adherence to quality standards.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field); Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in automation engineering in an FDA regulated manufacturing.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex automation projects from concept to implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of PLC programming, robotic systems, motion control, and industrial networking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies is desirable.
- Project management certification (PMP) is a plus.
