A Team Home Services is looking for a Handyman Apprentice to join our team! The ideal candidate has some experience in a variety of repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks in a residential setting.

They will be versatile in multiple trades, including basic plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, and general maintenance, and will contribute to ensuring the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of projects.

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various components of buildings, equipment, and fixtures, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, doors, windows, and appliances.
• Install, repair, or replace wooden structures, cabinets, shelves, trim, and other carpentry components using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Repair leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues in sinks, toilets, faucets, and pipes. Install or replace plumbing fixtures
• Replace outlets, switches, and light fixtures, and perform minor electrical repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical systems.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, apply paint or wallpaper, and perform minor drywall repairs to maintain or enhance the appearance of interior and exterior spaces.
• Replace light bulbs, repairing door locks, lubricating hinges, and addressing other minor repairs
• Install various fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment according to manufacturer instructions and specifications.
• Interact with tenants or property owners in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns and providing updates on projects.

Qualifications and Skills :

• 1-2 years experience in any trade such as carpentry, sheetrock, painting, and general maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Some knowledge of construction and safety regulations.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Attention to detail and precision in work.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license
• Heavy lifting of at least 55 lbs
• Provide 3 references

Pay rate : $15-$22 hourly
