We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Lafayette, California. This role primarily involves auditing functions within a CPA firm.
The selected candidate will be responsible for processing, maintaining, and monitoring various types of accounting data.
Responsibilities :
- Handle data entry tasks related to audit data such as banking information, trial balances, payables, and aging.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and manage data entry tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate customer credit records.
- Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to accounting data.
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on the data.
- Engage in the continuous learning and application of accounting principles.
- Participate in training initiatives to enhance knowledge of public audit functions.
- Contribute to the team's efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Maintain client relationships by providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Possession of a University Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience with Data Entry is necessary
- Knowledge and understanding of Accounting Entries is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
