Accounting and Human Resource Manager Madison, WI (Two Day Remote, Three Days Onsite - Downtown Madison) Overview : WholeTrees Structures seeks an experienced Accounting and HR Manager with solid accounting, human resource skills, exceptional communication, organization, and technology skills, and strong attention to detail.
This position manages the day-to-day accounting functions; works closely with the Director of Finance and HR, Controller, VP of Operations, the CEO, senior Project Management, Sales, and Production staff;
manages relationships with vendors and clients to ensure the seamless delivery of WholeTrees products to commercial construction projects.
Applicants should have 5+ years of experience in Accounting and HR. The candidate must also be able to work independently and collaboratively as an integral team member within a dynamic design and fabrication environment.
Accounting activities will include : In collaboration with the Controller and Director of Finance and HR Manage all accounting operations including A / R, A / P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including the issuance of financial statements as assigned Support the WholeTrees Sales team with Contract Administration as Quotes flow through an established sales process into billing Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Assist with weekly and monthly finance needs with CEO, Director of Finance and HR, VP of Operations and Design & Production leadership Accounting activities will include : Process payroll and assist with internal HR / benefits alongside the third-party payroll provider Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Support Hiring Managers with onboarding of new candidates, including entering into the HRM system, benefits applications, creating and maintaining employee files Be a resource to all team members and management with employee administration and record-keeping Specific daily activities may include : Communicate with staff, vendors, and customers through email, phone, and / or video calls Weekly team meetings, in-person and / or remote, where projects and financial topics are addressed in systematic ways.
