We are an established out-of-network medical billing company located in New Hyde Park, Long Island, seeking experienced Revenue Cycle Specialists with a strong work ethic and superior communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires well-rounded knowledge of the medical billing process including pre-submission review, claim submission and follow-up.
Job Responsibilities :
- Review submitted claims for accuracy
- Investigate and resolve claim denials and rejections by analyzing coding and documentation
- Work on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondence
- Create and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessary
- Work closely with providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Ensure all billing practices adhere to legal and regulatory requirements
- Utilize all available portals for claim information
- Assist with obtaining pre-authorizations when needed
Qualifications and skills required :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience
- Out-of-network billing experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Must be flexible and adaptable to various work environments
- Must be computer proficient
