The Senior Analog IC Design Engineer will be instrumental in designing, simulating, and verifying analog and mixed-signal ASICs.
This role requires a deep understanding of analog design principles and a successful track record of designing and debugging low-power CMOS analog ICs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead circuit architecture planning, design, simulation, and verification for analog and mixed-signal ASICs.
- Utilize EDA design tools to develop and refine circuit designs.
- Conduct system-level design and modeling.
- Design, simulate, verify, layout, and test CMOS analog integrated circuits interfacing with sensors and transducers, such as capacitive / inductive transducers and imaging sensors.
- Develop IC test hardware and software for evaluation and qualification of designs.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including specifications, presentations, test result reports, datasheets, and research reports.
- Research and investigate new technologies, industry trends, and techniques to enhance our products.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Participate in occasional late afternoon meetings with colleagues in Japan and engage in domestic and international business travel as needed.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of industry experience in analog IC design.
- Strong analytical and intuitive understanding of analog design principles.
- Proficiency in EDA design tools (e.g., Siemens / Tanner Tools / Mentor, S-Edit, L-Edit, Calibre).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as LabVIEW, R, MATLAB / Simulink, Tcl, Bash, and Python.
- Knowledge of dimensional metrology devices and measurement techniques, as well as sensor design and technology.
- Ability to document design concepts in detail and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to diverse working environments.
- Understanding of Japanese language, culture, and business practices is a plus.
