Job Description
Plant Accountant Responsibilities :
- Oversee month-end close processes for the plant, including variance analysis, accruals, and reclassification journal entries.
- Conduct thorough analysis of production data and prepare weekly management reports detailing labor performance, material usage, and cycle count adjustments.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process for the plant.
- Form relationships across various departments within the plant to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Analyze manufacturing processes from a financial perspective to reduce costs
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of expenses and stay proactive in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop a deep understanding of chemical deliveries and associated costs to optimize budget management.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing Experience (Food & Beverage Industry preferred)
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
