Join Chef Thomas Keller's renowned New York destination, Per Se ,as a Sommelier. In this role you will be responsible for wine service, offering pairing suggestions to complement guests' meals and enhance their dining experience.

Opened in 2004, Per Se is Thomas Kellers acclaimed New York restaurant in the Deutsche Bank Center. Designed by Adam D. Tihany, it offers a serene environment with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle.

Per Se features Chef Kellers three-Michelin-starred nine-course tasting menus, crafted with classic French techniques and the finest ingredients.

The award-winning wine list boasts over 2,000 bottles, including rare and limited releases. As a member of Relais & Chateaux, Per Se is dedicated to the highest standards of hospitality and culinary excellence. Responsabilities :

  • Enhance Guest Experience : Collaborate to continuously improve guest experience, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
  • Wine and Beverage Recommendations : Assist guests with wine and beverage selections that complement their meals, and communicate guest preferences to the manager.
  • Wine Selection and Maintenance : Assist in selecting wines and spirits, place wine orders, and maintain the wine cellar, ensuring inventory balance and control.
  • Staff Education : Create and lead wine education seminars for the service team to advance their knowledge and skills.
  • Operational Support : Assist team members as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations, including performing side work and maintaining clean, functional equipment.

Qualifications :

  • Minimun of 3 to 4 years of experience as a sommelier in a fine dining, preferrable Michelin-starred restaurant.
  • Wine Certification (Advanced Sommelier Certification preferred) and State Health Certification.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of POS micros, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
