- Advocateon behalf of employers insurance carriers and thirdpartyadministrators.
- Prepare correspondence toclients.
- Draftpleadings.
- Attend courtappearances.
- Managecalendar.
- Conduct depositions andcrossexaminations of doctors.
- Negotiatesettlements.
- Proactive casemanagement.
- Mentor and manage legalassistant.
- Establish relationships with clientscoworkers and vendors.
- Attend marketing eventswith new and existing clients.
- Review and workon files enter time into billingsoftware.
- Input case information into PracticeMaster.
- Meet deadlines for clientcorrespondence.
- Attend clientmeetings.
- Conduct training seminars for clientson changing employment laws.
- Understand andmaintain current knowledge of employment law andstatutes.
- All other duties or tasks asneeded.
Qualifications& Experienceneeded :
- LawDegree.
- Licensed inCA.
- Minimum 15 years of employment lawexperience and some school district defenseexperience.
- Needs to have school districtdefenseexperience.
