Payroll Specialist

This position will report to the Payroll Manger and will be a critical member of the Parry’s Pizza payroll and accounting team within our Support Center.

This person will support the biweekly payroll process for 25 locations and 1400+ (and growing!) employees including daily payroll functions such as processing garnishments, off cycle checks, payroll journal entries and other payroll related duties.

As a team with the Payroll Manager you will be a vital piece in growing the company culture while ensuring accuracy in pay for all of our team members.

This person will also participate in additional accounting items such as monthly close and reconciliation journal entries.

As this is a small team, this position will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of payroll and benefit functions that allow for professional growth opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Import and update employee data into ADP including new hire data, pay rates, positions, taxes, payroll deductions and termination data
• Process biweekly payroll including balancing hours for reasonableness and review wages for correct tip amounts
• Process off cycle checks
• Assist with benefits enrollment and setting up benefit deduction amounts in payroll
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Process wage garnishments and child support orders and complete correspondence to reporting agencies
• Assist with payroll journal entries biweekly for accounting team
• Assist with Preparation of various monthly close reports

Qualifications and Knowledge :

• FPC Certification CPP Certification preferred
• A minimum of three years of payroll experience
• Two years of experience with ADP or similar HRIS systems
• Experience with child support and garnishments
• Two years of experience with multi-state payroll
• A minimum of an associate’s degree preferred

Salary - $60,000 - $70,000

The salary range is a representation of the low and high end of the Parry’s salary range. Actual salary may vary above or below this range based on various items which include but not limited to experience, education, and certifications.

The Company

Parry’s launched in 2007 as a New York style pizza joint that was great for a quick bite and perhaps a beer or a glass of wine.

Today, Parry’s has climbed to a level so far beyond its humble beginnings. Sure, New York style pizza, hot wings, and our fried dough (customer faves) are still on the menu and they’re beloved as ever before.

But, over the years, Parry’s has quickly become a craft beer haven boasting some of the most dynamic and robust tap lists at our locations;

no matter what state we call home. Literally hundreds of taps have sprung from the house that pizza built over the years.

Our beer events are curated with strategic and precise vision of what the craft beer connoisseurs seek out no matter the season or style of their choosing.

In 2017, Parry’s was acquired by Cannon Capital and a new management team was brought in to facilitate planned revenue, unit, and back-office growth.

Since the ownership change, we have grown our portfolio to 21 total locations and have expanded outside Colorado with seven locations in Texas and one in Arizona.

The Company plans to open eight to ten restaurants in 2024.
