Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Rochester, NY. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is essential to ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of machinery and building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems to ensure optimal facility operation.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, part replacements, and inspections.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring equipment readiness.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment :
This position involves working in a dynamic manufacturing environment where attention to safety and precision is critical.
The role may require lifting heavy equipment, working at heights, and operating in various environmental conditions.

Compensation : B or C shift - $29-37 / hr (B-shift gets a 2.5% shift differential and C-shift gets a 5% shift differential
