Description :
The Youth Programs Coordinator Street Hockey is responsible for planning, scheduling,
marketing, communicating (both internally and externally), and fully implementing all ball
Hockey Camps, Clinics, Programs and Events.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under the direction of the Director of Youth Hockey, assist and coordinate the following :
Planning, scheduling, marketing, communicating (both internally and externally), and fully
implementing all Youth Programs Department Camps, Clinics, Programs and Events
including, but not limited to :
- Hockey 101 programming
- UHC School outreach
- Ball Hockey Clinics
- Ball Hockey Leagues
- Ball Hockey Tournaments
- Hockey Day
- Pop-Up Marketing Ventures
- Industry Growth Fund (IGF) initiatives and programs.
- All existing programming, as well as any and all new programming that may be developed and / or administered by the Youth Programs Department.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all IGF requirements and standards, as well as any and all Sponsor requirements and standards.
- Ordering sufficient quantities and correct sizes of jerseys, t-shirts, shorts, hats, other promotional items / equipment, as approved by your director and as necessary in order to implement each of the above programs.
- Ensuring sufficient staffing for all Youth Programs events including participating in such events as an instructor.
- Assist with Junior Jazz, Jazz Camps and Clinics or other youth basketball programs as needed.
- Such other duties, projects, and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Hockey programming director.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years’ youth hockey, ball and rink operation experience
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Employees must have reliable transportation to and from work, as well as occasional ability to travel to meet potential clients and attend industry conferences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships with a varied group of individuals.
- Self-starter, with the ability to manage several projects at once, in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Position requires the ability to listen and speak on the phone, in meetings and in one-on-one conversations.
