Job Description
David Weekley Homes is seeking to add an enthusiastic Project Coordinator to our Atlanta team! The successful candidate must possess a strong work ethic, great communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Experience in residential home building is highly preferred, and experience with permitting process is a plus.
This is an on-site, administrative position that supports a Project Manager, along with the Builder / Construction Management and Sales teams.
This key position contributes significantly to a fast-paced project's organization and efficiency. It requires someone who is a team player that will be able to work closely in support of the team, as well as customers and vendors.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage / apply for various building and stormwater permits
- Pull permits and interact with local municipalities
- Maintain accurate electronic house files
- Create closing packages for all new home buyers
- Process new home sales, changes, and post-closing items
- Facilitate the proper hiring process
- Coordinate meetings and team events
- Paying invoices and utility bills and monitor overhead expenses for the project
- General support such as preparing reports, ordering supplies, and answering phones
Candidate Requirements :
- Previous construction and / or home building experience beneficial
- Experience with permitting process a plus
- High attention to detail and ability to deal effectively with numerous phone calls and interruptions
- Drive to get results from vendors, subcontractors, and management
- Excellent time management skills to complete multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment
- Strong follow-up and organization
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Exposure to JD Edwards beneficial
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a dynamic team
- Strong customer service skills
