Job Title : Associate, Production
Reports To : Manager, Manufacturing
Position Location : Charleston, SC
FLSA Status (Exempt / Non-Exempt) : Non-Exempt
Position Summary :
The Production Associate is responsible for the production and / or packaging of a variety of manufactured products. This is a support role for several areas within manufacturing, specifically the molding and BCM areas.
The position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures; and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of this job.
Key Responsibilities :
- Production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and stacking raw materials and finished goods.
- Execute and document quality inspections per SOP.
- Report defective materials, process, equipment or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Ensure work area and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow prescribed safety and housekeeping regulations.
- Fork lift operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education :
High School diploma or GED from an accredited learning institution, or equivalent work experience
Experience :
0-1 year prior related experience
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
- Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
- Read, analyze and interpret written instruction
- Maintain production pace and standards
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possess basic mathematical skills : addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Basic knowledge of computer skills
- Certified or become certified in operation of forklift
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with reasonable accommodation
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressure, within deadlines or other time essential constraints
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization
- Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
