Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a Benefits and Human Resources Administrator to join our internal Operations team.

The Benefits Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs, but will also assist with federal and state HR regulation compliance, assist with onboarding / offboarding of employees, and other related HR and administrator needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in benefits administration, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Benefits administrator responsibilities

  • Implements and administers employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and other ancillary plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing employee benefit programs.
  • Provide customer service and benefits guidance.
  • Process enrollments, changes, and terminations of employee benefits.
  • Audit billing and payments for employee benefit programs.
  • Resolve issues related to employee benefits, including claims and eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefits records and files.
  • Prepare annual reports and audits related to employee benefits.
  • Provide support to the Operations team as needed.

Benefits administrator required skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Customer service oriented.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Experience with benefits enrollment software preferred.
  • Knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Professional certification in benefits administration a plus.
